A popular magazine
Why do women get flustered when there significant other reads playboy. Because it sets the idealism for a woman that can not be achieved. In turn, making the woman feel inadequate, betrayed, devalued, deceived, and unable to fulfill her significant other desires.
Of course many men are quoted saying that he only reads this magazine for the articles. But how can a woman feel her best when she feels that she is consistently competing. And at the same time is being reduced to the sum of her body parts.
We women have one very popular man to thank. Polygamist and porn pimp Hugh Heffner. Heffner published the first issue of Playboy magazine in December 1953. Hefner has consistently and consciously infected society with his noxious ideal of sexual hedonism.
As Hefner has been quoted, "If you had to sum up the idea of Playboy, it is antipuritanism. Not just in regard to sex, but the whole range of play and pleasure."
Within a year of Playboy being published, Hefner was able to fulfill his sick fantasy. Beside working on his magazine he spent most of his time hunting for vulnerable young females who worked for, or posed for the magazine. Hefner believes that there should be absolutely no boundaries in the pursuit of pleasure. Even if it includes child porn.
According to Dr. Judith Reisman, founder of The Institute for Media Education, Playboy began featuring cartoons about incest in 1954. "Child sex abuse in 'humor' was systemic in Playboy. Before our research findings were released in 1985, Playboy averaged eight images of children (cartoons and illustrations) in each magazine, most of these sexual in tone," Playboy magazine featured adult-child sex.
In recent years some academicians have touted Playboy's idea as healthy. In fact his idea's are so acceptable and healthy that in 1998, Hefner was inducted into the American Society of Magazine Editors Hall of Fame. Conclusion Playboy objectifies women as mere sex toys nothing more.
